Earlier this afternoon Prince and I had a few training sessions. He was a bit rusty on place as far as staying put. But after a few remedial reps he remembered the game. Practicing settling in place is a skill which requires lots of practice in different locations and with different distractions. My goal is to teach the dog to be able to apply this skill regardless of where they are or what’s going on around them. They cannot learn this in one situation then apply to all other situations.
