BALTIMORE -- Pittsburgh Steelers safety Minkah Fitzpatrick broke his interception-less streak. It is the first interception he has grabbed in two seasons. Fitzpatrick’s last interception came on New Year’s Day in 2023 against the Baltimore Ravens.

Patrick Mahomes passed for 320 yards and three touchdowns and the Kansas City Chiefs locked up the top seed in the AFC for the fourth time in seven seasons with a 29-10 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh's defense has faded in the absence of key role players, some of whom might remain out against the Chiefs on Christmas Day.

"The 26-year-old is at his best as a deep safety as he ranks 18th in coverage grade by PFF. The Colts only signed him to a one-year deal last offseason, so it's possible that Pittsburgh could have an advantage by simply offering a multiyear contract."

The wiggle room the Pittsburgh Steelers once enjoyed atop the AFC North is gone. The Steelers have dropped two straight to fall to 10-5 after a 34-17 loss to Baltimore, which is now tied with Pittsburgh for the division lead.

The Pittsburgh Steelers suffered their third straight loss as they were blown out at home by the Kansas City Chiefs. The game was close going into halftime, but the Chiefs blew out the Steelers in the second half.
