President Donald Trump offered his condolences to the victims of a trio of attacks at Brown University, in Sydney, Australia, and in Syria on Sunday.

As he arrived at the White House's Christmas reception, Trump paid tribute to those killed and injured in the three attacks.

A gunman who ambushed U.S. and Syrian soldiers, killing two American troops and a civilian interpreter near Palmyra Saturday, is thought to have been an Islamic State infiltrator working as part of local security.

The president addressed the recent streak of violence before lengthy unscripted remarks during a Christmas event at the White House

The attack at Brown, an Ivy League school in Rhode Island, on Dec. 13 left at least two dead and nine injured. 'Get well fast,' Trump said in a statement.

President Trump mourned the victims of the tragic shootings at Brown University and Bondi Beach in Australia — as well as the killing of three US soldiers in Syria — during a White House Christmas event Sunday.
