St. Helens High School’s principal and the district’s superintendent were placed on leave on Friday, following a bombshell sex abuse scandal resulting in the arrest of two teachers at the school earlier this week.

A school district in northwest Oregon has put its superintendent and high school principal on leave and accepted the school board chair's resignation.

The St. Helens school board will hold an emergency meeting Friday to consider placing Superintendent Scot Stockwell on paid administrative leave after this week’s arrest of two St. Helens High School teachers who are accused of sexually abusing multiple students over the course of several years.
