Over 100 medals from the 2024 Paris Olympics have been returned to the Monnaie de Paris after athletes have proven instances of deterioration since the Games ended in August, the Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

The French mint will replace damaged medals from the Paris Games. Athletes whose medals have lost their lustre will receive new ones. The replacement process will begin in the first quarter of 2025, which is between January and March.
