Governor Sarah Sanders has announced the closure of state office buildings on Thursday, January 9, and Friday, January 10, 2025, due to inclement winter weather

ARKANSAS, USA — Arkansas Governor Sarah Sanders has announced that the state offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday due to winter weather. "Out of an abundance of caution, Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has closed state office buildings except for critical operations Thursday, January 9th, and Friday, January 10th, 2025," the release said.

State office buildings are closing their doors on Thursday and Friday as winter weather is set to slam Arkansas.

As of 6:30 a.m., nearly 100 Arkansas & Oklahoma schools and businesses reported changes in operations. President Biden stood next to Gov. Gavin Newsom and pledged full federal support as fires burned through Los Angeles County.

All Texarkana Arkansas School District schools and offices will be closed on Thursday 9. Friday closures to be determined. All extracurricular activities scheduled for Thursday are canceled. Officials with Hope Public Schools say campuses will be closed on Thursday and Friday.
